The Sandon School is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive of approximately 1260 students with an excellent reputation in the local area.  We have superb facilities and view ourselves as an innovative teaching and learning community.  The school is situated close to the A12 on the east side of Chelmsford within easy reach of Chelmsford, Colchester, Southend and Brentwood and has good public transport links.

We require from September 2019 a creative, inspirational and innovative teacher to join a strong, supportive department to teach Food to KS4 and Textiles to KS3.  A TLR  is available for a suitably experienced candidate to take on extra responsibility.  Applicants should have the desire to use ICT for Teaching and Learning purposes.

COVER SUPERVISOR

CLASSROOM COVER SUPERVISOR
LGS Band 3 (to mid point) £13,112 actual
30 hours 35 minutes per week, term time + 5 non contact days.

We are looking for a Classroom Cover Supervisor to join our excellent, friendly school in Chelmsford.  The post involves managing students in class, making sure discipline is upheld, and ensuring that students carry out tasks in order to minimise the effect of the teacher’s absence upon the students’ learning.

Our ideal applicant would have a background in Supervision or Management; have good general knowledge, exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to engage students in learning.  They would be flexible and assertive.

We require from April or September a well-qualified, enthusiastic teacher of Science (preferably chemistry) to join a strong, successful and supportive department.  The post offers an excellent opportunity to be involved with a highly committed team who achieve good examination results at all key stages.  The ability and willingness to teach to Advanced level would be an advantage.  Applicants should have the desire to use ICT for Teaching and Learning purposes.  NQTs are welcome to apply.

We require from September 2019 a creative, inspirational and innovative teacher to join a strong, supportive department to teach Design and Technology – Resistant Materials.  A TLR2a is available for a suitably experienced candidate to take on extra responsibility.  The ability to teach Product Design at A Level would be welcomed but is not essential.  Applicants should have the desire to use ICT for Teaching and Learning purposes.  NQTs are welcome to apply.
