Statement of Intent

In science we aim to promote an active and enquiring mind for students to look at the world around them and focus on how it works.  We develop a deeper understanding of the unseen universe.  We explore the natural and physical world from the inner workings of an atom to biology on a cellular level. We extend our students knowledge beyond the boundaries of our planet.  Students experience a vast array of topics from dissecting hearts in organisation, making your hair stand on end in electricity or creating bubbles and bangs in reactions and reactivity.  The skills and knowledge they acquire are transferrable into multiple differing future pathways equally applicable to university, apprenticeship and the world of work.
