Earlier this term, Year 9 enjoyed an amazing motivational speech by former Paralympian Danny Crates. Danny lost his left arm in a car accident and bounced back to become a successful Paralympian. He spoke to the students about having a goal and a strategy to reach it, the hard work and discipline required to be successful and bouncing back from setbacks. He then spent 20 minutes fielding excellent questions from students.
The behaviour and engagement from the year group was superb, as were the questions – we had so many that Danny couldn’t get through all of them in time!
