MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING WEEK
As a school, we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our students to be a key priority, particularly during lockdown when anxiety increases, and young people are far more isolated than they are usually. To support this, a mental health and wellbeing week was organised during which students in Years 7-11 did not have live lessons or work set for period 1 and 5 each day. Instead, they used this time to focus on their mental health and wellbeing by carrying out a range of activities throughout the week.
The varied activities included yoga, live workouts, healthy breakfast recipes to make, making colourful mandalas and a relaxation and mindfulness session. We received so many positive comments from students and parents, and students really seem to have benefitted from the week.
